I'd always heard about Thailand's pristine waterfalls, cheap but delicious street eats, and gold-trimmed temples. While my friend and I were in SE Asia, we made it an effort to spend 9 days in this beautiful country. Neither of us could speak Thai and we quickly realized the power of technology when we heavily relied on Google Translate for our daily communication with locals. My favorite memory of Thailand was riding the Tuk Tuks because it provided opportunity for candid interactions with locals. Tip: always agree on a price before boarding a tuk tuk or taxi!
