Curiosity involves wanting to know about the user's history, goals, desires, and needs; but to also understand what and why. As a naturally curious person, I like to build relationships with users so that I can relate to and empathize with them. I believe that when the users are the focus, the design comes naturally. I also believe that open-mindedness enhances team collaboration and ideas.
Good design is the result of what feels like hundreds of iterations. Through teamwork, I provide and receive constructive criticism, design critiques, and positive reinforcements that enable learning and improvement.
I advocate for the user and client from beginning to end. I involve and empathize as much as possible by asking the right questions, having check-ins, and understanding needs/desires. The more I empathize with a user, the more passionate I am to get it right.
I start with basic pen/paper/whiteboard sketches before evolving ideas into hi-fidelity designs for usability tests. Some of my favorite tools for interactive ux prototyping include: Axure, Adobe Illustrator, and Proto.io.
I aim to create experiences that make a difference in peoples' lives. I do this by implementing Lean Six Sigma concepts to offer continuous improvement. As a people pleaser, my work doesn't stop until the user or client is happy.
